Before Innocent ever sold a single insurance policy, he spent over a decade working directly with refugee and immigrant families in Houston — helping people navigate job applications, government systems, language barriers, and the overwhelming complexity of starting over in a new country. He was the person families called when they didn't know where else to turn.
"I kept watching families make decisions about insurance, immigration paperwork, and taxes without anyone explaining what they were actually signing up for. Agents would come in, get a signature, and leave. Nobody was sitting down and saying: here's what this means, here's what it costs, here's what happens if something goes wrong.
I started Kivulink to be the person I wished existed for every family I ever worked with."
